You may have also tried a plethora of skincare products that claim to remove scarring, but to no avail.

Acne scars are usually the result of inflamed blemishes caused by skin pores being filled with excess oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. The pore swells, causing a break in the follicle wall. Shallow lesions are usually minor and heal quickly. But if there is a deep break in the wall of the pore, infected material can spill out into surrounding tissue, creating deeper lesions. The skin attempts to repair these lesions by forming new collagen fibres. Unfortunately, these repairs usually aren't as smooth and flawless as the original skin.
Acne scars, being unsightly and bumpy, are often a source of embarrassment and frustration for people. Many at first resort to temporary solutions like makeup to mask their blemishes, but makeup often exacerbates acne even more, and bumps (whether they are raised bumps or craters) cannot be masked, leading to even more negative perception of oneself. However, this doesn’t have to be the case – they can be easily treated with the right medical attention!
A dermatologist is a doctor who, after five years of working in general medicine, went on to undergo at least three more years of intensive, specialised medical and surgical training in dermatology; making him/her the most qualified doctor to treat your skin problems safely and effectively.
The rate at which results will show will vary greatly, depending on the severity of the scars and the choice of treatment administered. However, rest assured that Dr Cheong will monitor your condition closely and adjust your treatment plan accordingly (if necessary) in order to ensure optimal outcomes.
